Hope you are getting better and stronger and that we will see you again soon

My faith, my honey and my life. Everything else is whipped creme on top.
I can hardly believe I HAVE the hubby I have, he too is supportive of every harebrained idea I have.
I think sometimes he is supportive with only half his brain, but compared to some of my ideas that's half more than than mine!

I use the regular one on the can but omit all the spices except fresh ground nutmeg, and as my auntie would say "all the vanilla you can afford"
then top it with chopped pecans
its unusually good....and pumpkin pie makes a great breakfast-well except for the calories......do you all know how much is in one piece of pie?
YIKES!!!!!
trying not to get the ubiquitous middle aged bulge......

Daphne's 100% right....use the poly thread in your machine. Using upholstery thread, unless you are comfortable with the machine and changing the settings, loosening the screw on your bobbin casing etc.....
If you are uncomfortable using the machine, double sew the seams,
Perhaps you have a stretch stitch
My main machine has a stretch stitch which is a stitch forward one back and one froward again....this way each stitch is 3 times sewn....I use this stitch on the big or heavy things and since it is not a knit fabric it doesn't stretch.....
I do not like messing with the bobbin screw, so I have several bobbin casings.
the screws on bobbins can strip out so easily.
Now you've gotten me thinking of making a different machine the main one for sewing bears and gollydollies, then it can be set up for only that....hmmmm........
best wishes on using the machine! It she will save you a ton of time! I don't know what i would do with out my sewing machines....love them dearly....well, all right, not dearly, but I love them!

Congratulations Andrea!!!
I am so happy for you.....the Royal Academy huh?....sounds like they are a feeder for the Royal Ballet? Does Covent Garden still exist? Does this mean that they could even hire you to teach at one of the feeder schools?
Would you believe that a vast majority of Yanks have never seen a ballet live? I personaly think this is simply unacceptable....
I am really happy for you. This is a tremendous accomplishment. I simply adore the ballet, and to be concidered good enough to teach according to these exacting standards is quite the feather in your cap. way to go!

Oh I was joking about the chocolate.....we can always share chocolate, can't we, can it fit in the envelope? Hmmmmm.....
Some people make cards, or enclose confetti or something like that, and thats great, just nothing that anyone would feel they should reciprocate, like, uh, chocolate....
Be sure to email me your addy...

Well ladies and gents, its that time of year again:
Yes indeedido- so We are getting the Holiday Cards list put together and wanted to give you all time, yeah, I know, we are late, so if you are interested, hurry and put your name on the list and/or email me at dilu@cavenet.com and we will hurry up and get it organized.
Same guidelines as always, we'll email you the 5 folks and you'll send cards, and 5 other folks will send you cards....that about sums it up, I think.
We will try to keep the long distance stamp charges down a bit....spread out so that not one Oz gal has 5 Canadians and the US gals are spread out, that sort of thing.
Remember, keep it simple, no big surprizes that other's can not reciprocate...etc.....I figure if you can put it in a standard envelope and get it buy the screeners its OK
And if you celebrate Hanukka or Kwanza, or Festivus or anything else, well that's fine too, we are open to new celebrations, its a great reason to party
Let us know-we really need to get a moooove on here.......

Daphne,
I am very sorry, hope you get a handle on it soon.
One thing everyone here needs to know, heart disease is more under reported and under diagnosed in women than men....
So keep an eye on it, don't let it get out of hand.....
and don't let the docs say its just stress, even though it probably is, because that's too easy an out and if it isn't stress? Well you need to be sure, then you can relax about it a bit.
If you are into vitamins a lot of folks do quite well on the Omega 3 fatty acid oils stuff.....
And you have been under more stress than a normal person should be expected to bear....
but nevertheless
don't let them put you off.....check it out.....
hoping everything turns out OK for you.....

I prefer cotter pins for the little ones, but have found if I don't roll ythem quite tightly after the little one is done the joints are too loose.
There are turners made just for cotter pins and some people like them....I can never make them work, but my honey says they are great.
I prefer needle nose pliers.
They are worth it, and Intercal has a great supply.
But
If you have arthrtitis or tend to have hand pain you may find that nuts and bolts are easier. especially on the larger kritters.
