I'm going to be attending a conference in San Antonio in March.  I was thinking to myself upon learning this ... great ... SueAnn, Donna, Roxanne ... one of them HAS to be within a few miles.  NOT!

Hope you people don't have to travel across state to see family and friends.  It's like crossing a small country!  Gheeesh!

What am I going to tell my kids ?

Judi ~

I am so sorry.  So very hard to lose a pet.  Thinking of you and the children today.

Didn't read this thoroughly, just did a search.  http://www.aacap.org/publications/factsfam/78.htm

I know when my Grandmother died, we told the kids that God wanted her more than we needed her (or something close to that).  But they were able to understand that.

Deb

Very cool!  Not many have been able to hang on to childhood favorites.  They just seem to disappear.

YES - I'm all for taking meds when they can enhance your life!

A nice Riesling can also help.  Or a red ... whichever!  A glass of wine with dinner is excellent for getting the ol' digestive process workin'.  There, how's that for justification?

Am sheepishly posting my "BEFORE" photo (aaaaarrrrggghhh), but feel it will motivate me even further not to give up until I meet my goal.  Well, the good news is that I lost - ta da - 4 1/2 pounds this past week.  The bad news is that I didn't meet my exercise goal which was walk 10 miles . . . I only did 4 miles.  So, I hope to improve this week.

Sheepishly?  You're adorable.  I only lost one on the scale, and also fell short of my exercise goal.  This is a great idea SueAnn.  It's important to be accountable.

Deb

Whaaaaa ... I want a website.  Maybe this year.

Excellent work Shelli.

Daphne, I know black SHARPIES turn purple when wet, too.  AARGH!

I learned that at work thankfully, and not on a teddy.  Thanks all for the info on the Pigma markers.  I'll try Michaels I guess for those.

Actually, my personal experience with Sharpies is that when they get wet they tend to bleed, and a lot at that.  I occasionally use them to trace patterns, but not for anything else, for that reason.

When I need to use a permanent marker ON my fabric pattern pieces I use a brand called Pigma MICRON.  The 05 size, which is a very fine point, but firm,  is also great for use on faces, to fill in bare spots on noses, or outline where features will go, or mark eye placement, etc.

Do you use that same pen to sign tushtags, or feet, or wherever you sign <if you do>?  I used a Sharpie on a tushtag, and was less than happy with it.

Sophie ~

Very attractive.  Easy to look at.  Great job!

There she is ... all unsquished.  Good job!

We're working on this stuff...

And I see you put the homepage link in ... and very recently.  Thank you Shelli and Quy.

Deb

Wow ... congratulations Judi!  Your work should command this range more often I think.  Some of your pieces have sold for way too little ... but I digress.  Your work is inspirational.  That is ... it always makes me want to try harder, do a little better.  Thank you.

$1,200 is a lot of mohair!  Whoohoo!  Go shopping!

I don't worry what people think now...and when I saw my dad ( 81) going past the house wearing my mothers anorak and hat I thought how lovely not to give a damn!!

I love it!

Heather ~ That's sounds like my line!  It's so hard at the end of the day, and I won't work on a bear when I'm tired.  That leaves the weekends after the grocery shopping and cleaning is done.

Shelli ~ Fairly young?   bear_tongue  (I'm 48!)  Forty is very young.  I suspect, it'll one be my full-time job too in a few years.

Rita ~ I could see this happening to me.  bear_grin

Deb

GOOD LORD ... how do you people do it?

I shoot for one every 6 weeks. Ugh ... I'm bummed.

Deb

Me too Kim ... vanilla latta!  Shelli and Quy, great work.

Did the link back to intercal homepage disappear though?  Or move and I'm not finding it?

Deb

Dilu ~

I very much favor smaller containers (what you called shoe box size).  If the container/drawer, whatever is too big ... I might as well just toss all in one large tote!

I am definitely planning a photo area, and am presently driving Shelli nuts with questions!  bear_innocent

I definitely have a plan for a comfy chair, stereo and tv.  My own get-away.

What I think I'm looking forward to most ... is not having to take care of everything and lose time and concentration when I need to set the table for dinner!

Sounds like you're formulating a plan of your own ....  bear_grin

Deb

Thank you for all the great ideas.  Took a trip to Lowe's Home Improvement last night and found an entire line of "daylight" bulbs.  They also are available in fluorescent.

Melissa ... I know exactly what you mean by long shallow drawers.  Great idea.
