Tammy,
Because of health problems, I get my flu shot every year.  Usually, just your arm is a bit sore.  Perhaps you are have a reaction to the immunization or maybe you already were exposed to some bug and are coming down with something.  It does take about a week for the shot to be effective.  I personally have never experienced anything but tenderness at the injection site.  Get some rest and hopefully, you will feel better soon.

Alison

Thanks everyone!  I have to say, I've never been so disorganized to go to a show.  I'm leaving later this morning and am still working!  I usually quit 2 days before I leave and concentrate on tags, promotional materials and packing.  I'm literally stuffing right now!  bear_wacko

I'll try to take pics at the show and post them like Jane does.  We'll see if I have time to make the rounds.

Hello,
Here's a last minute pic I took of Oakley before packing him up and taking him to the Schaumburg show this weekend.  If you live in the area, please pop into the show on Sunday, Oct. 11 at the Schaumburg Marriott.  I'm headed out tomorrow and am not looking forward to the weather.  It was 80 here in Phoenix today.  I'll have to dig out my woolies for this trip!

Tammy,
I don't know anything about this disease but have been through the medical ringer since my early 20's.  Let me give you this advice and I hope you take itLOOSE YOUR DOCTOR!   If he doesn't care enough find some information for you, he's not worth a plug nickel.  When you find a new doctor and after you get your records transferred, write this clown a letter expressing your concerns about his apathy!  Make sure you have all of your records first.  I know you live in Canada where your medical system is different, but doctors work for us.  We PAY them for medical care.  They need to realize that patients will not put up with bad service in their office any more than we would put up with bad service at a restaurant.

Good luck on your quest for answers.  And, try to find a specialist that you can get in to see sooner.  Or, just call that specialist every day to see if there are any cancellations.

Hugs to you and your son!

Lee Ann,
I think that most of us that are married and have kids are in the same boat.  I do try to stay in my studio so that the house stays clean.  However, no one ever comes in here to visit me.  I do have a small loveseat for them to sit on.  I'm hoping to put a TV in here soon, but I've been saying that for over 2 years.  Perhaps that would lure them in.  I get lonely in here by myself and fee like I don't spend enough time with them as I am often still working when they get home from school & work.   I just bring things out to where the family is and work and try to clean up when I am done.  That's the best I can do!

Alison

UsBears,
Interesting.   bear_wacko   If you used Linux as your operating system, perhaps you wouldn't be so paranoid about getting a virus.  The site is really lovely but you can always buy a paper copy of the magazine.  The editors told me that they have no intention of discontinuing the magazine in print form.  I don't work for the magazine, just wanted to pass on the info.  You can always go to their website and let them know your concerns, http://teddybearreview.com/  Meanwhile, us 90% will flip the virtual pages.

Peter,
Aren't those puppets great.  The whole family has picked out which puppet they want.  If nothing else, those of you who haven't peeked yet
must flip through the pages until you see these puppets.  I just wish my kids were younger so I'd have an excuse to buy them.  Now I'll just have to admit that I'm a kid at heart and couldn't resist.

Alison

Kelly,
I did a quick Froogle search and couldn't find socks like yours.   bear_sad   But, I did find these, http://www.absolutesocks.com/bears.html.  Who knew there was a website with only socks???  Anyhow, my in-laws live in Montana near Glacier National Park.  I'll have my MIL look for some up there.

Julia,
Have fun with the pattern.  Did you see the video that they embedded in the artist profile?  It was really cool to read the article then get a personal tour of her studio.  And, I loved the little video commercial of the puppet ad!  The puppets were cute but I wouldn't want one based on the photo ad.  Once the video played, I wanted one of each!  I did talk to TBR while they were working on this issue and they said they have no intention of discontinuing the paper magazine.  They are  just are keeping up with the times by adding the digital version as well.  I really enjoyed it, especially because I could share it with my family around the country for FREE!

Hello,
I just wanted to share an email that I received from the editors of Teddy Bear Review yesterday.  The magazine will still come in the mailbox to those of you who subscribe but they have added an on-line digital edition.  It looks just like the paper magazine, you can even flip the pages.  They are letting everyone view it for FREE this month.  There is a teddy bear pattern in this months edition designed by . . . me.  So, check it out!

Hugs!
Alison

Oh, that's just a hound doggy look.  Our little Darra looks like that 24-7.  In fact, she gets her lip caught up just like that, same side & everything.  I love this pic.

Catherine,
Just went to your blog.  Thanks for sharing with us.  The mushroom pics are fantastic.  My son is a fungi-nut.  He has several books on Mushrooms, even a field guide for identification.  I'm going to show him your pics right now.  He's 13 and has some of the strangest interests.  He'll flip when he's see's these.  We only get to see boring, brown mushrooms here in Arizona.

Hugs,
Alison

Why on earth be nervous about posting on Teddy Talk???  I love your newest creations, especially the elephant with the mask.  Too cute!

Alison
