Looks like this sweetie gives good hugs.  That fur looks so soft you could dive right in!

Hello,
An artist in France has contacted me about the blue mohair that I used for this bear.  She would like some for a project.  This is an older color and I don't even know where it came from.  I think I bought it on eBay.  Anybody have some in your stash that you want to part with.  Email me and I will pass the email along.

Thanks,
Alison

I designed a panda  years ago.  It was an open mouth design and the head alone had over 25 pieces.  I did a limited edition of 15.  Boy, did I regret that.  They were adorable but so time consuming and intense to make.  Every once in a while, I design something really hairy, I guess just to test my own skills.

Hugs,

Kristina,
I got mine 2 or 3 days ago.  You're in Canada so maybe that's why it's taking longer.  Although, you probably are in closer proximity than I am here in Arizona.  Hopefully, it will arrive soon.

Hugs,
Alison

Joanne,
I watched this auction closely.  This is my favorite creation of yours thus far.  I was so please when it went sky high.   A very well deserved closing price for such a piece of art.

Congrats & bear hugs!

Peace is one of the bears on sale for 20% off on my website.

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to announce that I am having a "Back to School" Sale.  No, I'm not going back to school, the kids are.   bear_tongue  I am offering 20% off any bear on the available page of my website.

My daughter started school today and my son starts on the 17th.  Summer seems to be getting shorter and shorter here in Phoenix.  Not for a lack of blistering hot weather, simply because the schools are sending the kids back to school at the beginning of August.  What a rotten deal!

Hugs,
Alison

Congrats Terrie!  I too have an URSA finalist, Surprise!  I'm rather surprised that Surprise made the cut.  I do hope that everyone takes a minute to go and vote.

Kelly,
Thank you for sharing this information.  Looks like we have until Aug. 31 to opt out.  I did through the site preferences page under my account and it worked.

What a lovely color this cutie wears!  Did you dye the fabric yourself?

Thank you everyone!

Kimi, I was working on a picture tutorial for my noses last week when my camera broke!  As soon as I get a camera, I'll start over.  I plan on making mini, on-line tutorials that show some of my techniques and hope to have them all complete and available by the end of the year.  The mini lessons will be affordable and you would just need to log in to see them.

Birgitta, Your comments are so sweet.  This is a hard business to be in especially with the economy in it's current state.  YOU have inspired me to keep on making bears!

Hugs,
Alison

Shelli,
I don't watch much TV so I had to look up Kristin Davis.  No, no one has ever said I look like her but thanks.  If only I were that slim.  I do have a twin, not related in any way but some other person who looks just like me.  She lives near me and I have had many people mistake me for her.  In fact, my husband saw her at Sam's Club one afternoon.  He stopped after work for something and saw this lady.  Apparently, she looks so much like me, that he thought to himself, what is Alison doing here and made a B-line for her.  He said he was within 10 feet of her before he realized it wasn't me!  He didn't say a word to her, just though how embarrassed he would have been if he didn't realize it wasn't me.  He said it was unbelievable how much we look alike.  I was furious!  I have been being mistaken for this woman for years and he didn't say a word to her.  I certain the same thing happens to her and I would have loved for him to say, you look just like my wife and she wants to meet you!  It would have been fun to meet her.

Thank you all for the very nice complements on Lulu.

Hugs,
Alison

How total different in style yet your same adorable teddy face.  I love polar bears and this one is fantastic.  I hope it does well for you.

We went and looked at cameras this evening.  I'm even more confused!  Some of the canon's were confusing, some were really easy to figure out.  Nikon's were impossible!  Clare, I did look at a Lumix and it was easy and my hubby said they get great reviews.  I guess I'll do a little more research and probably pick between a Fuji or Canon.   My husband said Sony is too proprietary for his taste.  Whatever I buy will be so much better than what I had at a fraction of what I paid.

Hugs,
Alison

Thanks everyone.  Peter, I will try not to be seduced by mega pixels, but maybe one day I might like to advertise eTeddys on a billboard.   bear_grin   I think if I do get seduced by anything, it will probably be a good zoom.  I do like to get pictures of animals on my husband's crazy day trips.  My husband said he wants to take me "looking" for a camera tonight.  It will be a good way to see some of the cameras you all have told me about and figure out how much money I need to save up.

Hugs,
Alison

One thing I do know, I won't be getting and SLR camera.  I don't think I need anything that sophisticated for photographing my bears.  The only other things I use my camera for is family vacations and our day trips.  I'll have my husband check out the cameras you all mentioned.  I also need a camera that takes regular batteries.  I am too irresponsible for rechargeable battery packs.   bear_rolleyes I can't even keep my cell phone charged.  I think that's why we've purchased Fuji cameras in the past.  Please keep recommendations coming!

Thanks!

Hello,
I was right in the middle of a photo shoot today and my camera fried.  At first I thought it was a bad card but sadly  bear_cry it is my camera.  I have a Fuji S7000 and I really like it.  It's an older model but takes really good pics, has a lot of settings but is still user friendly.  I am going to try to get by with my daughters camera while I save up for a new one.  I'd like to stay with a Fuji but would consider other cameras.  Any suggestions?  I want something user friendly.  If you have a camera you love or have had one you hate, I'd like to hear about them.

Thanks!
Alison

Tammy,
I think this is my favorite fairy doogle to date.  I am the gardener.  However, I don't look that cute when I'm in the garden.   bear_rolleyes
