I have no idea what's for dinner yet. BUT...I LOVE to cook...I just don't do it much anymore. Unfortunately I also LOVE to eat good homecooked food.
Dilu your once a month power cooking is a wonderful way to keep ahead of the game.

Hi Shantell,
![]()
Aren't those two kitties in the box Max's Mom and Dad? He did give a little nose kiss on the computer when I showed him. I hope I showed him the right daddy.Max is off to the vet tomorrow to be neutered. Oh funny....I just typed the word neutered and he crawled under the sherpa mat that I have next to the computer. Now he's moving across the desk under the mat....and there he goes out of the office with the mat. Hmmmmm. This may be a sign of things to come tomorrow.
  :crackup:Warmest bear hugs,
Aleta
Yep, those two would be Max's parents. They may be from the "other side of the tracks" but they made cute cute cute little babies.
Poor Max...off to the vet for snip snip snip. I'll be thinking of him tomorrow. Gosh...it's hard to believe that he is old enough for that already.
They grow up so fast.
Big purry kitty hugs,
I think the word on the streets is SUCKER!!!!
Skippy and Surrender have managed to reclaim their bed. And, yes it is a covered litterbox turned cat condo. As you can see Surrender isn't shy about moving right on in and giving poor ol' Skippy the big skooch over.

Very nice Shelli...I looked at it a few days ago when you mentioned it in another post. Being the nosey person that I am I had to know what the heck a squidoo was.
Very nice indeedy...is there anything you CAN'T do...and I'm not talking glass turds!!!
This is what life at my house has come to lately...feeding cats, watering cats, loving on two of the cats, trying to convince the other two that the hand that feeds them is really nice and not scarry at all, tripping over cats, cleaning cat doo doo from the flower beds which they think are big litterboxes...cats, cats and more cats... Have I mentioned that I saw THREE more cats scampering down the driveway that I have NEVER seen before. I'm just waiting for them to discover the buffet.
In order from left to right...Surrender, Samech, Skippy and yet to be named
Is it for your little bear Tom because I've seen him in the listings...just earlier I was perusing the new listings and saw him. He also comes up when I hit your ebay link under your avatar.
Or...is it another bear?
That is fantastic news Daphne. I'll keep my prayer wheel spinning for you both.

I've said this before but I'm simply amazed that your little bruins are crocheted. I can't even begin to wrap my head around doing that. Wonderful...

This is interesting...I seem to be the ONLY person who has responded that CAN'T do books on CD/tape. I wonder if it has something to do with being a more visual learner. I always hated lectures in college because my mind would wander off or I'd get really sleepy.
Here I am again....the odd duck. QUACK QUACK...it's because I'm a web-footed Oregonian, isn't it?
I took a three hour nap...
I'm going to be no help here...but I tried books on CD/tape and I'd get distracted and realize that I had no idea what was going on and have to hit rewind.
I've always been a huge fan of reading and since all my eye problems I rarely read books anymore...or at least nothing like I use to. My boss suggested books on tape to me and I actually borrowed a few...just didn't work for me.
Good luck...
Hi Krista,
I've made 3 or 4 bears with this particular quality. I am in no way an expert but I took advice and rinsed my mohair with a small amount of conditioner, hung it to dry and then made my bear. By conditioning it, the matts then were much easier to untangle and it made the mohair even softer. I tried it with one piece without conditioning it first and it was much harder to comb or brush out without the fur becoming fuzzy. When I was completley done in both cases, I misted the bear with water and then just crunched with my fingers to bring back the gorgeous curls.
Be back with a couple photos...

This is Phoebe in Old Tan

Noel in Ivory

And finally, Chip in Chocolate
Hopefully this helps...
Oh my....it looks like a teddy crime scene...bits and bobbles everywhere.
Okay...I've been looking at the news WAY too much!!!
I don't think I could work that way...I'd end up with parts in the wrong places.
Yes, when I enter a competition piece, I put in lots of detail. It's the detail work that I love most!
And it shows!!!! Princess is simply a lovely piece. You do such wonderful work.
Shantell
I remember him...because I love mastiffs. My sister-in-law has one named Max who thinks he's a lap dog...especially MY lap. I'm so sorry to hear he's developed epilepsy. Big hugs to ALL of you...     My friend's beagle developed epilepsy as a puppy and has been on medication for jeez...almost 10 years now I would say and does fine. So....although the size difference is HUGE...hopefully Golly will do well too.
Shantell
Marie...it is so good to see some of your little bears. I've missed them. I agree with Kim...their faces are so cute and sweet.
Wonderful!!!!
I have never been a big Halloween fan. Even as a child I didn't really enjoy dressing up and going out to trick or treat. I had more fun staying at home and seeing all the little kids in their costumes.
Now Christmas is a whole different story...
Lovely collections ladies...Aleta you always make decorating look so easy. Perhaps I'll work on snapping a photo or two of my ever growing collection...but right now I'm taking break from wrestling with a bear of my own.
I hadn't even thought of burmese...you may be correct. Although in the sun you can see "tabby" markings. She's quite skinny and you can feel her little bones but with as much as she's eating she'll be fattened up in no time. I do suspect she's been injured as she walks with a limp and swings on of her back legs in a funny old stiff woman fashion when she walks. She's just a love bug. Although Skippy is quite annoyed with her, last night they did the whole sniffing thing without hissing.
Cats...still no name. I am however considering calling her Slinky...as she kind of slinks around.
There are a lot of really great movies mentioned here...my long time favorite is Mary Poppins. I just love if for no obvious reason...just makes me happy.
Oh, I also really enjoyed Nanny McPhee with Emma Thompson...not particularly original or any surprising twists...but I just thought it was fun.
Hi Amy,
I personally know nothing about airbrushing, but here's a link to the "library" with loads of previous posts talking about airbrushing, highlighting, paints, etc. If I remember correctly, Judi, has listed her personal preferences in several of these posts regarding airbrushing, etc. I hope this helps.

Hugs,
Here's some photos of my new little friend...still have decided on what to call her...other than "hey you."

I figured out why Skippy is so mad....this little thing has taken over Skippy's little bed. I'd be mad too!!!
Awww Jane...it's never fun to be in the hospital....you deserve a grumble or two.
Take care of yourself and get better soon.
Hugs
Hmm, maybe Skippy is too apt a name. Maybe you could temporarily call her Sluggish, or at least Sterile! Shall I bring over my friend's traquilizer dart gun? On Safari: today we hunt the wiley Skippy....
HA...maybe we need a HARPOON. Skippy is REALLY mad now...she does not like the little black kitty who could care less. It's hysterical...Skippy does this peeking around things to watch what's going on and then just send me daggers with her eyes. I keep telling her to stop being so snooty and get her butt "over here" and get some snuggling...I just get more cat daggers.
Talk about a hormonal old woman...
I'm off to call the vet and HS to report little Missy Black Thang as "FOUND".
I have decided that I am a complete website, auction template, techno idiot. I found robshelp so confusing and frustrating I gave up. I know others love it but it made my head spin.

I use sellersourcebook.com...there is a fee but for me it's minimal because it's idiot friendly. I guess I'm just better with my little sewing machine, needles, thread and FUR!!! Leave the computer mumbo jumbo to you professionals.
