I'm so sorry to hear of your accident Katrina - and glad you are now starting to feel a little better. Sending you lots of good wishes for a very speedy recovery.
All the best,
Jane P.
I agree with you completely there Aleta. A lot of very talented artists here, that is for sure! Just wish I had the time to comment on everyones wonderful creations.

I know Kim, it is really annoying - I get these all the time. I just hit delete. For a while I was reporting them to Ebay, but then I kept getting emails from Ebay saying that if I had purchased anything from these people I had better be careful - NO - I was just reporting them! Sometimes it seems that you just can't win

I have been having the same problem, with scheduled auctions showing up 6 hours or more late. I thought that today I would do things differently, and the problem was fixed. Not sure if it is the same thing you are talking about Laura, but here is my scenario.
When I have listed in the past, I have gone into a completed (and sold) auction, and clicked on the "sell a similar item", and then just changed things around - ie: pics, wording, etc. These auctions were always scheduled, and were always late.
This time I started from fresh - a completely clean slate so to speak - and scheduled the listing to appear at 2: pm (only 30 min from when I had finished), and it came up right on time. I remember seeing somewhere that if you do any revisions to your listing, that it will take a long time to show up. I am wondering if using an old listing, and just revising it is for the new bear the same thing.
Hope this makes sense.

That's fantastic Deb - but no doubt well deserved!
I understand all that, but when you use the "scheduled listing", surely it should go on at the time it is scheduled for? If not, then they shouldn't be offering it.
Anyway, it is all moot, as I think my listing is now showing up - 5 1/2 hrs late.
Thanks Chrissi - does it take forever to just get connected? I have sat here for 20 min waiting for the little blue lines to quit going across the window, and to get connected to the server.
Looking good Daphne - can't wait to see the clip.
For the second time in a row, my scheduled listing is not showing up. It is getting really tiresome, not to mention very annoying. I also can't seem to find out how to get any help through their site - you just go round and round in circles, and get "standardized" automatic replies, which never answer the question asked. They seem to assume I can't find it because I'm stupid, not that it isn't there!!
Sorry to vent, but it seems something is wrong in the system if scheduled listings are not showing up on time, and to add insult to injury, we have paid (although just .10c) for this.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with them - I can't figure out how to post a question in the Community Answer Center, all I can do is read other peoples questions, even when I log in.
Thanks,
Jane P.
I always check what direction the pile is going in as it just comes out of the backing. It can be quite different from further along the pile length. I place the pattern pieces according to how it comes out of the backing. I also always place the top line of the muzzle on a straight of grain. Then when the bear head is stuffed, I wet it down in the correct direction if it is needed. Do this before you do any embroidery - water tends to make the colour run.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is great - I am so very happy for you. I loved the pictures too - thanks.
I start at one side and go across "skip" stitching, and then go back and fill in the gaps. I maybe go back over it a couple of times. I always use a thin floss, that way you can fix any errors easily. For bears under 15" I use #8 Perle cotton, and for 15" and over I use #5 - I never use #3 any more, as it is just too thick, and too easy to make errors that can't be fixed.
I want to be you when I grow up!!
I put a requirement that all bidders must have a Paypal account. I feel that most scammers aren't going to go to the bother of setting up a Paypal account. You can actually block those that don't meet your requirements by going into your preferences on your ebay account.
I probably shouldn't tempt fate by saying this, but I haven't had any scammers since I did that. Good Luck Krista.

Absolutely gorgeous bear Connie - lucky, lucky Tami!!!
Thanks for the morning chuckles Vicki - started my day off right!
Has to be a scam of some sort with starting prices of $10.99 ?????? I would be very careful about clicking into the auctions - I have become super paranoid lately!
My mohair has arrived and it is just wonderful - can't wait to get into it! Thanks Marion - yours should be arriving soon.
Good to see you back Edie - I was wondering where you were hiding. Love your cute new bear.

OW, OW, OW, OW, OW, that looks painful Shelli!! Looking at it makes my "backside" feel all funny!
I make mostly girl bears, and I guess they must be all "bearly sluts", as none of them have undies.
(My apologies to anyone out there who doesn't wear undies).
I'm probably going to regret posting this.
Sorry, I can't help you at all. There are a few people here who collect old bears, so perhaps one of them will jump in and be able to help.

Yes, I picked mine up a couple of days ago at Chapters. It was great fun looking through all the "faces". It was a great idea, and they sure did a good job.
I apologize - I am one of the guilty ones. I have not been commenting on bears lately - in fact I haven't even been looking at the bears for sale section. "Time" seems like such a precious commodity these days, and I just don't have enough of it. I only seem to have enough time to post a bear, peek in at the "general" section, sometimes the "tips, etc" section and then back to work. There are so many wonderful bears now on this site, that it takes just far too much time to comment on them all. I for one, would like to make the suggestion that there not be a place to comment on the "For Sale" section. (Perhaps I am just trying to assuage my guilt in not posting )
So sorry, and please don't take it personally.
