I believe Coraleen means basting, long stiches to hold the bear together until you sew it and then pull out the thread. It probably is easier than sticking your fingers with the pins all the time, I know how she feels.

Cute as could be Beth, I love the color yellow. It really looks like a sunshine fairy. How did you do those great wings.
thanx for sharing

loved your blog Susan, those pink birds are to die for at a feeder, we here in the states have nothing that could compare to those beauties, great shots also. Way to go Samantha. Enjoyed the visit.

Gee Roxanne, I did not realize that was you on FB. I checked out your website, and believe me your bears are beyond compare. they are fabulous designs and should have no problem selling. Perhaps it is the economy, I myself hesitate to purchase these days. As for a new design, that sounds great also, it may be the pinch you need to get your mojo back. You have a lot on your plate, beisdes the bears, the store, new house, your accident. So I am sure that all this will come together in the future. Life is what you make out of it, so take that step and try something new, what have you got to lose?
I hope this helps a little,

Beginners luck nothing, just sheer talent. That whole group is fabulous, and the ducks are so cute, I love them all and you can see your style in all the little critters. Enjoy your talent as you sure have it. Thanx for sharing.

Susan, sorry but the pics are not showing, the one of the dog on the surf board was a good one, but the bear and the elle are a no show, try again.

Susan, so glad you are back and things are looking up for you. I did not want to appear stupid so I went and read your blog and I thought you were the one who could not have a wooden house, how ridiculous. I guess you are renting now? What happens to the property where you had to tear down the wooden home? Hope your little shop makes out well. Also glad you managed to keep all your dogs, I know that was a concern at the time. So, welcome back and keep making those bears.

Good for you Karon, it is always good to know how to use the machine you have properly. Sewing is wonderful, I love to sew and do not do enough of it.

Thanx Tami for all the cute pics of the day, but understandably so our lives become so busy with all that we do. I notice that you are a crusader for save the pets. I see it on facebook and commend you for it. So catch you either there or here. Love those Fairydoogles...

As I once was an avid Garfield fan and collector, even had a cat named Garfield, but he passed away after 14 years, so I no longer collected
Garfield stuff. I will have to look in my storage space or in the garage and see if perhaps there is still a pooky around. I am not making any promises, but you never know. I will have to get back to you on that. Good luck in the hunt.

He is just a wonderful rabbit, great face and clothes. Thanx so much for sharing this great creation of yours.

I love my Boston when she smiles like that. They have such cute faces. I believe that is an English Bulldog. could be wrong but very cute none the less.

Thanx for sharing all those wonderfull pics, the bears were amazing. I was going to try and make it but with the price of gas just could not. Then I would not have been able to buy a bear either. Maybe next time. The bears are so overwhelming. Such talent only the eyes can behold.

It was a very interesting read. I believe the coyote was the culprit also, even tho at times I could not watch Hope as she played with the babies, but they never cried out. So I can only assume it was not painfull. Look how rough Lily was just cleaning little Faith, and she slept through it all. I get annoyed about the hunters that think they can shoot collared bears. That sure is no sport. I do not think any bears should be killed, and in New Jersey thats how it is unless they decide to give special permits due to over population. I don;t like that either.
But I hope that Lily and her 2 girl family survive and move on to great days.
