I prefer to think of them as "Personal Tropical Vactions" or "As my inner child playing with matches". That inner child is always getting me into trouble!

On the serious side, my dorctor recomended an herbal suppliment called Black Cohosh. I have been taking it for about 2 months and found that I am only waking up once a night (I could time my hourly night sweats before) and am hardly experincing any daytime hot flashes.  From what I understand it doesn't work for everyone, but it sure is worth a shot.

Hi All,
The midwest has been hit pretty hard with the white stuff today.  It was only the 2nd time in 20 years that my company shut dow because of snow.  We are pretty hardy here.
This is the view of my back deck. There's 10 inches of snow built up on my railing. My next door neighbor is an angel & plowed me out so I could get in my drive.

It was really fun to see the different ideas everyone came up with for this angel. 

I did get my magazine today & was looking for the angel article when somethihng caught my eye.  It was a picture of me in a scrapbook in the scrapbook article. Mindy took it last Halloween & I am wearing a teddy bear mask.  My husband thinks I'm nuts for letting my picture be taken like that.  I just laughed at the picture!

I was recently asked by TB&F to participate in an angel challenge. They provided a pattern to 6 artists ( plus the artist who originally designed the bear) and came up with 7 distinctly different bears.  I haven't gotten my magazine yet, but it is up online & I have the link. I designed Lucky Goestoheaven, a well loved bear who is worn out in Heaven. Please note he is carrying a bell because " every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings". per Zuzu!

I do both ways.  Sometimes before... sometimes after. I always try a practice piece first out of a scrap & then go from there. I also do the same if I use my electric razor.

You are all right it is kind of a rush seeing your bears in a magazine. And I think it is a rush that doesn't go away however many times it happens. I was really thrilled when they contacted me about the article and then again when I saw it in print!  :dance:
