Tami: I just had to tell you how cute these photo's are. I just recently started taking up sketching again and I've been focusing on animals. You have given me a ton of option to work with and I will hopefully never run out as long as you keep posting.

Has anyone  received the March 2007 Newsletter and read about the TED Worldwide Competition.
Mindy said to go to the web site, to find out more about it ,but its all in German and I don't know how to translate it.
And I'm trying to find out all the information as soon as possible. I already e-mailed Steiff.
But, I was hoping one of you clever ladies might be able to find out about the compettion and let us know on the site.  bear_original Please Help.
Thanks in advance

Jennie: I really don't reply very often on here. But, I know how you feel and have put my bear's on the back burner.  Because of self doubt. Please,  don't  do the same because your BEARS ARE Wonderful and you should keep up the good work. You got to have FAITH. Believe they will sell and they will.

Have a great day! bear_grin

Hi!
I hope I'm in the correct section for this question?

I really would like everyone's thought's on the quickest way they feel to baste? I would check the archives but, I never have much Luck with that bear_sad  I usually hand baste with thread and needle and really don't like the look when I skip the basting and just machine sew. On one of the forums someone suggested staples and there was something new out made especially for bears.

I will gladly take and and all suggestions bear_original  but, as with all of us the main objective is to get the best look possible.
Thanks Dawn

Hi! Everyone I need some brain power on how to do an alternation.

I have an J. Lynn Design Pattern the large 3ft teddy that in the sleeping postion. I want to turn it into a draft stopper for the base of my fireplace.

Here is my problem how and were should I lengthen it and it also has to be slimmed down,

So basically should I just lengthen the body, or lengthen arms and legs also and should I also use a special Fabric/Fur or stuff it with a special material to keep it thin.

I hope I'm explaining myself enough.

All help is apprecated

I just though of this maybe a different pattern.?
Length needs to be about 6ft
width 12inches
Thanks Dawn

Hi Paula:
I just wanted to let you know I sent you a e-mail in reply to
your above question. in which i stated. The reason I did not reply quicker was that I was tied up with another challenge on another site and was so frustrated I was ready to cry. but, all is good now.
And  would like to try this challenge. and  have an idea for a bear I would  bear_ermm
like to try but, Im not sure it would fit the challenge if I give you the pg number in the teddy bear encylopedia will you let me know what you think? Page 85 the 1952 Cubbigund Cuddle bear.

My brother had one like that  when we were little ( about 40yrs ago)and this is a good excuse to make a replica. Again thank you so much for caring to answer me back.

Have a great Saturday

Ok! Ladies I need a real honest answer to who you think are the best artist's in this field.
The reason I'm asking is my husbands grandmother and mother have some coats he would like to be made into bear's and the wonderful wife that I am I would like to fulfill his wish's. But, I'm just a novice at making bears and don't know were to start.
I would appreciate any and all advise.

Please ladies i don't want to ruin these coats his mother died along time ago and his grandmother will be 93 on 2/2. And I would feel terrible is I ruined them.

Thank you for your advise and time

Hi!
I just wanted you to know they have a Great book called the E-bay Bible. That so far has answered most of my question. I ordered both editions. I don't think I needed both, Edition 2 is good enough.
Hope I helped a little.

Also, you can buy it on Amazon.

Good Luck
Dawn
