Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Hey you guys....I hear my name being used in jest!

But I had to change first, before replying.  Love the baby-that cute little face says it all

I can match you letter for letter Shell-  I loved it when computers came into being-home-because it is so much easier to type faster.

I only use 6 fingers.  I don't use the thumbs or little fingers at all and still I type a million words a min.  (don't think of this statement as a lie, consider it hyperbole.)

I do when I play piano tho.  hmmmmmm I am sure it means something aberrant about my psyche.

I always figured the fast typing was do to the fast piano playing-your brain gets used to doing something at a certain speed.

So I type almost as fast as I think.  Piano goes faster, because the language is totaly different and you must practice passages to get them up to speed....but when you are playing you don't even have to think.

Maybe thats why I like piano.....don't know

Just read everyones posts.....it is a little scarry how much alike we all think- but it also indicates that we are al increably intelligent and creative :lol:

It kind of changes things looked at from that viewpoint.....

you are getting great ideas-are the creativities flowing in you yet.....now that we all have a vested interest I think we are all excited to see what you do!!!

She is elegant and has a patrician air.  The shape of her head is slightly different than usual-for you-her muzzle looks slightly elongated.  I think this is what gives her that elegant air.

I haven't read what everyone else said- didn't want to be influenced, but I think the collar on her is the wrong colour- her fur color is more important than that thing. And just like we wear colors that look good on us I do not believe for an instant that she would have chosen that collar herself.  She is too feminine for that colLar.  Do you have any brooches?  And antique one that you could put on a lace collar?

I guess I was leaning towards Victorian-

I think she needs something in a softer pastel, and more feminine. 

Also she reminds me of Princess Grace-  her eyes a little sad, like she has seen things that the rest of the bears haven't, and she must still carry on in dignity and grace.

I DO NOT KNOW THE MEANING OF ANTHROPOMORPHIC! :D

Shell, when I burn out on gollies I make a bear, it's like eating sherbert in the middle of a 6 course elegant meal- it cleanses your palate.  So maybe you could try doing something different-  resize your patterns into a size you have never done before, or make a golly, or make a different critter, or sew all your mohair scraps together and make a patchwork bear just to cuddle with or..boy is it ever easy to tell others what to do :lol::lol::lol:...

When my dad would get in a funk he would do stuff like that.  Instead of paint he would fool around with clay- or go someplace he had never sketched before- or try a subject he didn't usually do.  (like portraits)

Whenever we get stagnant it helps us to give our poor little peabrains, ( ok my poor little peabrain ::P ) new info to process and before you know it you have a gazillion new ideas.

I really like your bear, I think she is quite beautiful. And any collector would be incredably luck to be her new owner. 

I know you will get it all pulled together.

Honey you can't open a jar of Gerbers for those rug rats of yours.....their clothing is bigger, therefore less in a load so more loads, they are messier, they need to go  and do and then there is the attention factor-  they have pleanty to say to you and are probably all wanting your attention at the same time. 

And I know you can't do with them what I used to do with my little kiddikins- when my son was 6 mos- 2 years and I absolutely had to do something and didn't want him risking life and limb by drinkling the ammonia, or falling down the stairs while I scrubbed the tub...etc;

I took the old wooden play pen and turned it upside down....he could not climb out which he was very good at doing, and he had all the cats and toys in there with him....

I hope I didn't set him up for a feeling of comfort behind bars.......so far so good. 

I am sure that now-a-days I would be arrested, even tho the point was to keep him safe.....but this was long ago and far away......many many years gone by.  :lol::lol::lol:

y9u have the awwwww factor right on with your little blue boy.  Too cute and the bankie is a great touch.  I like his feet-  I think they are differant and interesting, and I really love his little big ears.  He is wonderful

Yep Nigeria.....that feels a little weird.  It is one of the 12" girls with a yellow dress and white pinafore.  I wonder how she will go over.

I was thinking about a mother goose series tho, like little bo peep, that sort of thing.

I found the neatest thing at the local grocery store that is supposed to be for party snacks  Plastic toothpicks with card symbols on top-  I thought I could paint the pink heart one red and voila

I muse about the next batch of gollies or how to improve the bodies and my honey goes right off to sleep....if only it were so easy for us post M girls.....

I got your banner on there a little while ago!  I think I have 4 banners and almost all the websites....I think there is still one or two I am struggling with.

Took a sec to realize it was mom-in-law who got her book.  She said she was so excited she was going to stay up all night reading.

She's 86, and she lives in assisted living- they will be checkingon her durring the night and wont they be surprised when she is still up reading!

next to motherhood- which is def. the most difficult job in the world- teaching is a close second.  Teachers/mentors are so very important to our whole culture and civilization!  And that you are assisting folks who are already having problems and assisting them to move ahead and catch up and then realize their full potential is fabulous!

Hats off to you my dear...there is something very special in what you do for others.

there is a lot of software on the market that is easy to use ( it must be since I have gotton one up and it sort of works...:)

And gollygeewhiz honey you live in Japan!  There are probably 20 people you know that could help you do this.....I personally would love to see you have a web site-  pictures of your bears, pictures of your homeland and of course, pictures of you!

My only caveat would be that you choose an easy to work with hosting company-

I was just given a brand new box of 'oil pastels' that look like crayons.  Now  there are no instructions,

when you use them on fabric to you heat set it......did we go through this in an old post?

Oh dear....if we did I didn't pay enough attention.....

You are right Wanda......thank you for reminding me-My husband is a 'shade tree' mechanic....actually he is ASE certified.  He bought a jeep off e-bay because he needed a project car......wellllllll it has turned into a more ' expensive' project car than the others!  Yippppeeeee......you all know the old saying:

"  Whats good for the gander is good for the goose" 

I like to remind him that the jeep doesn't snuggle- like a bear does.....but he said he wasn't into snuggling with bears but he was into....welll......we wont go there
