Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Thanks for the advice on the glue.  I have some Beacons 3-in-1 here that I call gorilla snot.  It's a great glue and I'll have to use it on the others.

I have to say that the design of this bear is pretty slick so you can sew quickly.  You sew up the tummy and the center seam of the muzzle at the same time.  Never would have thought of that without examining my sisters bear.

I was distracted yesterday by my sister's old teddy sitting in my studio.  On a whim, I designed a pattern based off of her teddy.  I wanted to make them child safe but HATE safety eyes.  I just can't get them to look cute.  So, I used my glass eyes and will dub these as "kid friendly."  I'd really like to see a  2 year old try to get these eyes out!  This little guy is 10 inches and made from 2 colors of alpaca.  Anyhow, it was a good distraction from my typical, tedious work.  I'll probably have a few of these at the Teddy Bear Reunion in the Heartland.

I got to hold and see this little bear in person and it is beyond amazing.  The pictures don't do it justice.  I LOVE this little cub.

Ladies, Eva lives near Laughlin.  Road trip anyone???  Laughlin is much more fun than Phoenix.  There's more to do there than gamble.

I just found out that my nomination is for Goldie, a limited edition bear I made for The Toy Shoppe.

I have the complete list of nominees but am not sure if Jessica has notified everyone or not. 

Hooray to all of us! I knew there would be a lot of teddy talk members that were nominated. 

Tami, how did you find out which bear it was?  Hopefully Jessica will let us all know.

I just got an email from Jessica, the editor at Teddy Bear Review.  I have received a Golden Teddy nomination!  :dance: Unfortunately, I don't know which bear was nominated.  I submitted a few this year.  I emailed her and hopefully, she'll be able to tell me which one.  I needed a pick me up today and I got one!    Hopefully many more TTer's got an email today.
