    Wonderful pics Robert and Alison!!! Great job.....I wish I had done better with taking pics myself. That's a job Darren will get next time! You know, I didn't even get a chance to see all the tables, and your pics let me do so......thanks so much!!
Cambell is a Limited Editon of 2 bears, which is an entirely new direction for my work, as I normally create only one-of-a-kind designs. Number 1 of 2 is sold, but number 2 of 2 is still available and would love to have a new home!
Cambell measures 17 inches tall and is made from red mohair that was distressed and 'aged' to give it a well-loved and 'worn' look. He is slightly slumpy as well, which is due to all those hugs over the years
For more info and pictures, please visit him on my website. Here's a quick link to his page: http://www.thimblebearyoriginals.com/we … able1.html
I hope you all like him! This really is a different sort of thing for me, doing limited edition bears.......and something I hope to continue with. I've already got the next one planned, with (I think) 5 bears this time. They shall have a name separate but branched from ThimbleBeary Originals: the Bears of Sherwood Crossing. This name came about from where we live......on the site of an old railroad town called Sherwood that is long gone, but the railroad crossing is still right close.
Thanks so much everyone!! Your wonderful comments mean the world to me!!
Rowarrior: this fur can be found at Probear in two different lengths. I love it too! Lots of fun!
Thanks so much everyone! These little ones were a bit of a new venture for me, and so much fun to do. I nearly went blind making them as they are so small, but loved it, lol!
Oh, I wish I could join in this year! I've participated the past three years, have had such fun with it, and cherish the ornaments I've received (they stay out all year
). But I fear I wouldn't have enough time to prepare, as I am having carpal tunnel surgery Dec. 10th and have custom orders to finish before this. I'm just bummed!
I second what Wanda said: the Chicagoland Teddy Bear Show was AWESOME!!! It was the very first show I've participated in, and I had the time of my life! All went so smoothly and easily, and I know it was due to all the hard work of Daphne and Laura Lynn. Thanks so much to both of you!! You made what could have been a stressful experience for me an absolute joy instead!  I can hardly wait now til next year....this year's show went by way to fast! The best part was meeting so many wonderful people, both artists and collectors. And finally meeting a couple from the UK with whom I have become great friends with over the last few years, who came over for the show with a great vacation scheduled after. Huge hugs to Andrea and Selwyn!!
I should have some pics to share, however, I gave the camera to the DH to take photos. Sorry guys and gals....not a one of them is focused properly to give you a good view of anyone's table as he had utilized the zoom way too much. Oops....Darren tried, he really did!
These little ones are a brand new and fun design. Names from left to right: Moe, Vin, Levi, and Lia. All are 3 1/4 inches tall and created from Sassy's faux fur, hand-sculpted epoxy clay faces and feet, and tiny blown-glass doll eyes. Lots of detail in a tiny package!
All are available from my website. I hope you can visit!
Teddy hugs

Hi All!
It's been awhile since I've last posted.....I'm sure I've missed out on tons of great stuff here on TT! Anyway, this morning I am listing a few bears that came back home with me from the Chicagoland Teddy Bear Show, which was awesome, by the way! I can't wait til next year's show!
So, here we have Alek, a 9 1/2 inch bear created from dark brown, frosted/tipped mohair (hedgehog) and brilliant blue doll eyes. Alek is available from my website. I hope you'll be able to visit him!

Thanks so much everyone!!
Brightbears, many thanks for the photo tip  ....that always makes me crazy with the color differences. Unfortunately, I can't find a place on my camera to disable this. But I will (hopefully soon) be updating my camera and will make sure to do so then. The camera I'm still using only has 4 megapixels.....it's getting old!!!
Hi Everyone!
I've just listed a new bear on my website.....Lizibeth. She's the first big bear I've had listed for awhile and is made from yummy 'polar bear' mohair. I hope you can pay her a visit: http://www.thimblebearyoriginals.com/we … able3.html

Hi Everyone!
Newly available on my web site tonight is Lynzie, the latest bear from my 'long-necked' panda design. Lynzie was created from longer kid mohair in cream and honey tan and stands 15 inches tall. She carries her favorite toy and blankie: a slightly aged and floppy, pink mohair bunny (made by me) and a vintage postage stamp doll quilt. Hope you can pay her a visit......here is a link to her sale page: http://www.thimblebearyoriginals.com/we … _page.html
Teddy hugs!

Hi Sandra  I have missed this....what are you asking for exactly?
I buy my steel shot at Walmart....can be found in the hunting supplies section. Lots of great tips here on balancing and getting a bear to stand on its own! The method I currently use for my standing bears is shorter legs, bigger (flat) feet, weight in the feet, and positioning the hip attachment lower on the body and closer together than for a sitting bear. That last one might sound wrong as a wide base of support is logical, but it works well with the shorter legs and the look is cute with the legs close together when standing.
You can then turn out the feet a bit for your wider base if you want to.....also cute!
Another thing you might try that works along the same line as stuffing the ankle firmly is using sturdy wire armature in the legs to help support them. I do this instead of trying to stuff the ankles hard, as when I try stuffing hard here, I always end up getting the feet too fat and not flat.
Thanks so much everyone for all your wonderful comments!! They mean the world to me!
  Yeah Robert!!!!!
I am just thrilled that you love your bear, Robert! You are so very welcome, and my big thanks to you!!
