Okay ...

I listed bear made of alpaca, as such.  Mohair is goat hair, and alpaca is ... not ... and is not called mohair.  Correct?

I'm just kinda curious about what folks might be searching on in Ebay.  I know I usually search mohair bear ... without going to the artist category.  I suspect the word mohair would yield additional hits, but don't want to misrepresent or confuse.

Thoughts? (on adding the word "mohair" to the description of alpaca bear).

Thanks!

who has a good bread pudding recipie?  preferably one with rum?

Doesn't have rum, but this is a very good recipe.

Bread Pudding

1 Package (8 Ounce) Cream Cheese, Softened
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 Cups Milk
2 Eggs, Beaten
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
6 Cups Cinnamon-Raisin Bread, Cubed

Combine cream cheese, sugar and cinnamon.  Mix until well blended.  Add milk, eggs and vanilla.  Mix well.

Combine with bread cubes.  Let stand 10 minutes.  Spoon into greased 1-1/2 quart casserole.  Bake at 325 for 50 minutes.

Deb

I need one!  Post it if you have one, with or without raisins!

Thanks!

PS  Little heartache for me this year:  This will be the first year that one of my kids knows the "truth" about Santa; and he was so sweet I had to tell him outright, deciding to do so on my own... because he never asked.  I just couldn't let him go off to Jr. High not knowing.  That was a teasing situation just waiting to happen!

Ugh ... I remember trying to convince Nathan of the very same thing.  And I remember him saying "well put to Nathan from Santa on my gifts anyway please."  To this day, we do that with only his gifts.

I have to say that we normally don't go out to see any shows anymore.  But we LOVE watching Christmas movies!

Same here!  I'm partial to It's a Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn, White Christmas and A Christmas Carol.  Love the oldies!

Dear Fran,

Congrats on your accomplishment!  Seriously, it always feels so good to conquer something you thought you couldn't do!

Perfect ... yucky ka-ka.

Your work is fabulous Fran.

HA!
And I'm pretty sure I will have one in my NEXT life!  Isn't there something scriptural about that?  New body, no more tears?  Doesn't that translate into a maid?

Deb

Could have sworn I read a post earlier from someone not being able to get in the Christmas spirit.  Hmm ... hope someone else recalls.  Anyway ... this should help.

The Christmas Shoes

It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line
Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood
Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously
Pacing 'round like little boys do
And in his hands he held a pair of shoes

His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe
And when it came his time to pay
I couldn't believe what I heard him say

Chorus:
Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

He counted pennies for what seemed like years
Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here"
He searched his pockets frantically
Then he turned and he looked at me
He said Mama made Christmas good at our house
Though most years she just did without
Tell me Sir, what am I going to do,
Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes

So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out
I'll never forget the look on his face when he said
Mama's gonna look so great

Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

Bridge:
I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven's love
As he thanked me and ran out
I knew that God had sent that little boy
To remind me just what Christmas is all about

Repeat Chorus

Haha ... I figured.

He WOULD kill me I'm sure.  But if I ever think he or his friends might be thinking about spending time on this teddy bear forum, there's always the delete feature!   bear_innocent

DoxiePup.jpgLook!  This little guy is an absolute doll!  He's a doxie ... mix between a wirehair and a longhair ... called a softwire.  Not recognized the the kennel clubs as an official doxie coat, but oh my ... he's just wonderful.  My sister asked me to take him for a couple of weeks.  She thinks he got separated from his mommy too soon.  He loves to snuggle.  He weighs 2.75 pounds.  I just love him.
